15 lbs. 11.5 oz!

Beckett weighed in at 15 lbs. 11.5 oz. today. So he gained 7.2 oz in 18 days...breaks down to gaining 11 grams a day. Still not stellar, but it's a gain! AND he likes eating! So we will take it. Holding off on baby food for a couple more weeks to make sure he consistently can intake more than 20 oz. a day. Every day is a blessing. Every ounce is a blessing. Every gain is a blessing. Good job Bman!

Oh, and Happy 6 months adjusted age on July 6, Beckett!

Ain't a that a GOOD NEWS!?!

Today is going to be a good day! Bman just ate FIVE oz. And that is after a 4 oz, and another 4 oz. Oh! AND he has "accidentally rolled from his tummy to his back" a few times these past few days! Now that I feel like his eating is improving, we can really focus on our OT/PT exercises! Oh! And Beckett has definitely found his voice now,"my little squawker" I think thanks to being around cousin Maizee! Can you tell I am a little excited about everything Bman today? :)

So hard when feeding woes get in the way of noticing and praising every other amazing thing Beckett is doing!

Reflux Study = Normal

Happy Fourth of July everyone! So thankful to be with family celebrating our freedom! It's been so SWEET to have Beckett here in the North Land for the first time. He likes it. He told me. :)

Well...interesting. GI doctor called yesterday, and said Beckett's pH/reflux study came back normal. "He is refluxing within normal limits." So now, I don't know what all this eating protest was all about because I was convinced it was reflux. So back to the drawing board. However, the past few days he has been eating well, and daily intake is increasing. He actually ate 5 oz. yesterday for the FIRST TIME EVER in one setting. I think the meds are helping, but now with "normal reflux" how can that be? Hmmm...Keeping us on our toes. Praise that he doesn't have severe reflux, but now confused. And obviously don't want him on meds that he doesn't "need." The plan is to continue meds until our next GI visit on July 17.

So the days while we were off meds, during the pH probe time (right after the eating refusal), he was eating 18.5 oz, 16 oz, 15.5 oz, 16.5 oz. And the past four days (Sat. June 30 until now) he has eaten 21 oz, 25 oz! (THIS WAS HUGE), 22.5, and 23.5 oz. So SOMETHING is helping. Maybe the carafate is helping things feel better when he swallows.

The Swallow Study came back normal (that was last Tuesday) did I mention that?
So now, Swallow Study  = normal and Reflux Study = normal.

Like I said before, back to the drawing board. However, I honestly don't care whatever it is. SOMETHING is improving and I am so thankful! I'm so glad to know that his tummy can tolerate 5 oz!

We are LOVING our time with the Weber Family in the North Land! :)
