Update with the Gramkows

From April 2009
Once again, it's been longer than I intended to get back to this blog! This week has been busy, busy! Only 39 days until graduation! Wahoo! Where will we move to after graduation? Well, nothings 100% sure, but we're still waiting to hear back from Lockheed Martin on an official offer. Ben got a call from them on Friday and they said they were in the process of creating a new position for him. (This would still be an electronics engineer and he's still be working in the same group - with the F15 Fighter planes). They are supposed to call back this coming Friday, so continue your prayers please! We're praying that this job in Fort Worth, TX is it! Well, good news - our bonneville survived any frame damage from Ben's run in with the ditch, so we're in the process of getting it fixed. We're very thankful that it was just the door and front grill that we really needed to get replaced. Hopefully we'll have the bonneville back Friday as well...Friday's a big day! This past Tuesday, Jeanette with Infant Toddler came to see how Ellie's been doing. We're still going to continue to work on strengthening Ellie's truck muscles so she can practice using those muscles needed to sit up on her own! Jeanette was impressed with Ellie's ability to grab things and she has rolled over from tummy to back again for us, but I wonder if it's just because she's always been good arching her back! She is now starting to pull up her legs more and find her feet, which is really fun. She smiles too which is of course fun to see her gummers! I wish she smiled every time I talked to her though! Next time Jeanette comes, she's bringing the scale so we can see how much she's gained! Kim with Parents as Teachers came on Thursday and we talked about some things to look forward to in the next couple months. Next month, she'll do a developmental screen on Ellie. Kim also taught me things to help Ellie work on her hearing and responding to sounds. She does a pretty good job at it, but gets distracted with faces...somehow we're more interesting??? :) She's also a slobber queen and it starting to make the bubbles with her lips..Kim calls it raspberries! So we're pretty sure that Ellie's umbilical hernia is gone! Just the other night I noticed it! Yippee!

We got a special delivery - Synagis on March 31. We weren't sure our insurance would approve another month, but now we're so thankful that Ellie will now be covered until mid May! Yippee! Home health is coming on April 9. This weekend has been pretty laid back. We've caught up on some sleep. Ellie's still sleeping well through the night! Ben's actually sick with a bad cough, so Ellie and I are keeping our distance! Uncle David and Aunt Audrie did come and visit us yesterday, so that was a nice visit. Ellie smiled a lot for Uncle David...I wonder if it's because he sounds somewhat like daddy! :)
