Happy New Year....OR....April 2018!

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13

Ben is enjoying his 4th year in avionics at Garmin as a systems engineer. He has taken on the head chef role, and is challenged by the next good InstaPot recipe. Mandy started a 2 year RN program at JCCC, and loves all she's learning. The kids pray for her to get an "A, B, or C" every test day. She also continues to work at the allergy/asthma clinic. One day, she'll be that NICU nurse. One day. Just gotta survive school! Ellie is a third grader who still loves anything art! She and dad work happily together on multiplication facts. Ellie has also become quite proficient in the kitchen. Beckett started kindergarten and loves every minute. He is Mr. Social and has amazed us with his reading. His favorite color is red, and his favorite thing to do is ask questions. He and dad enjoy Lego league together every Thursday. We have been intentional about spending time together at home as a family, and have tried to embrace the phase and age our kids are in. We miss our Caleb every day, and can't believe it's been two years since we lost him. Praying specifically for an intentional, meaningful year for you and your family as you spend quality time with those you love.

Many Blessings in 2018. Keep in touch!
Love, Team Gramkow

March forward, Team Gramkow. March for Babies.

March 1.
Caleb's due date was March 14. But instead of preparing for his arrival, or even bringing another NICU baby home, he has spent the past 5 months in Heaven.
We miss him so much.
This year, when Ben and I were preparing for Caleb's memorial service, we wanted to honor Caleb's short life in some way...
This is what we printed in his memorial service program:
"We yearn for Caleb's Legacy to be one of moving others to service. Please consider honoring his memory by walking with Team Gramkow in the March of Dimes: March for Babies, donating to the Caleb Dean Gramkow Memorial Fund (where funds are used personally for Ben and I to foster living and caring relationships with NICU parents), or reaching out to show love and support to a friend or neighbor who has lost a child or has a child born premature.

As we approached this month, we were trying to prepare our hearts for yet more grief, but healing too.

We march forward. We have to. God is not finished with our family yet. Even though we are separated from our littlest team member, I know we are all still here for a purpose.

So we invite you to MARCH FORWARD with us, at this year's March of Dimes: March for Babies 2016. We are ordering Be Brave: Team Gramkow shirts this year too!
