Again, so sorry I haven't blogged in awhile. Our computer is on the fritz yet again and I've also been busy chasing a mobile Ellie Jo around! I was not granted mommy immunity for the stomach bug that circulated Team Gramkow this time around. It was no fun, that's for sure! I've also been trying to get THANK YOUs done...yes, that's right from a year ago when Ellie was born...better late than never, right?
My time at home with Ellie has been such a good time to reflect. I've gotten out her princess calendar just to see what she was up to a year ago...seems like just yesterday we were living in the NICU with her. I did end up buying a baby book where I can write the "traditional things" in too, so it's been fun to go back through the blog and see what and when she did things...and is STILL doing things for that matter!
Our little Ellie is pulling up on furniture and now is CRUISING. It won't be long until she's walking, I just know it! She won't have anything to do with babyfood anymore. She wants the real stuff and what we're eating! She does hold the bottle herself - we're still trying to wean her off that - and still trying to work on holding the sippy cup up! She loves to dance to music by bouncing up and down. I caught her the other day looking at a book by herself and babbling. Too funny, she wants to read by herself already too! Can we say, Miss Independent is on her way?
I thought it'd be fun to look at Mid-October NOW and THEN:
Her sytle of "box" NOW: red toy box and THEN: Isolette
Her food of choice: NOW: the mac n cheese and THEN: the bottle (this was the week one year ago that she actually got to drink from her first bottle)
Her Daddy NOW: brings her flowers and THEN: holds her tiny hand with just one finger
Her hair NOW: Blonde and just starting to get enough for a pony "spike" on top and THEN: darker and cute bow made by nurses glued to her head!
Her sleep style NOW: on belly with behind in the air and THEN: the same only on a smaller scale. :)
and on that note...night, night!

I just love that little girl and the reminders she gives us about God's love. Give Ellie hugs and kisses from me! Wow, looking at those comparisons was fun! Look how far she's come!
