Happy 11 Month Birthday Princess!

I can't believe that next month, our little Princess will be ONE! Some of Ellie's NICU buddies are one this month. Happy Birthday to Tristen and Liam!

And what is Ellie up to these days:
1. She has 4 teeth, and finally the top front left one is starting to cut through, so that will make 5!
2. She still scoots, but uses her hands more a lot to scoot. She also is a lot better at using her hands to scoot. Still goes backwards. The latest new thing we noticed was that when she's on all fours, she bounces and rocks.
3. She loves to eat banana puffs and still favors feeding herself with her left hand.
4. She shakes her head "no" and likes to get a reaction from mom and dad - which of course she always does!
5. She did say "daddy" the other day when Ben was changing her diaper. I was in the room and quickly turned around to ask Ben if that was what he thought she said. We're pretty sure she won't do it again though...one time wonder Ellie :)
6. She likes to pat-pat her bare belly when we're changing her diaper. I think she likes the sound!
7. I think she's going through stranger anxiety. Mommy and Ellie do spend a lot of time together cuddling, playing, reading, cooking and cleaning! We're buds.
8. She did eat meat - some beef and gravy - pureed of course (babyfood) and sure made a funny face. Still a tad thick for her, but she's practicing! She still refused to each rice cereal plain. She watches mom try almost every morning to trick her, but she is a smart cookie and purses her lips pretty tight. She watches me add fruit and then is like a little bird. She eats 3 times a day at the table like a big girl with mommy and daddy.
9. Speaking of birds, she likes to sit up and flap her arms like she's going to fly somewhere.
10. She's getting spooked more by loud noises. The vacuum this morning made her cry pretty good.
11. She's still in 6-9 mo. clothes - but the 9 mo. ones fit her better since she's so long!
12. My "blondie"'s hair is getting longer, but still really hard to get it in a spikey pony tail on top!
13. She doesn't like napping. She doesn't want to miss out on anything. Could be genetic :)
14. She did battle her first diaper rash. Thank goodness for Butt Paste.
15. She's still drinking mommy milk....although the deep freeze is cleaning out nicely. :) About oh, 20-24 oz. a day maybe.
