Now that our little big girl is sleeping in a crib the assessment will be a little different. The main difference concerns what has always been the most dramatic moment of the assessment: the weigh-in. You see her isolette has a built-in scale, but her crib has no such fancy gadgetry. So Ellie will have to be weighed in a separate scale. Well it turns out the scale she gets we

y across the NICU and we won't be able to see it from Ellie's room. This means we won't get to see her weigh in! So we'll have to wait patiently for the nurse to return with the news. Well that's okay, I don't mind being patient ... well for a little while ... not too long though.
Here they are:
She gained 50 grams tonight taking her to 1950 grams. :) So that is technically 4 lbs. 4.8 oz., but we'll go with 5 oz! Her height was steady at 17 inches. Nurse Korrie reminded us that there is variation in the scales (isolette vs. free scale).

YIPEE Ellie!! What a BIG girl you are--can't wait to see you in your crib. Hope team Gramkow is having a wonderful Sunday. We love you---from way up here in Minnesota. :)
