Well bath time was exciting and of course we celebrated her one month birthday. (Her birthday cake was brownies that we brought to the NICU staff.) But the assessment is always something to look forward to.
Today's assessment had a lot to live up to after the rest of the day, but it delivered. First off she was wearing a new outfit. And of course she looked especially cute after her first tub bath today. But not to be outdone by her outfit, birthday and bath she decided to gain 50 grams! That puts her at 3 lbs 11 oz (1680 grams)! Good job Ellie!
She has been having about 5-6 mL of residual with her new 26 calorie/ounce food. That may be partly because of the added calories and the added vitamins. She has been stooling well, usually just after we change her diaper. (My theory is that she's trying to separate the #1 from the #2.)
We also found out at bath time today that Ellie has a birthmark! It's a red mark (stork bite) at the back of her head.

What a Day!

YIPEE Ellie!! Super job on such a great day. How fun to give her a tub bath Mom and Dad...I am just amazed how she's doing. She's definately going to be over 4 pounds by the time I get back down to see my sweet little niece! Have a super weekend Team Gramkow and will talk to you Sunday sometime after the Johnson birthday festivities. Love ya.
ReplyDeleteWow! What great things like the tub bath and of course filling the diaper AFTER you JUST changed her!! I think that's a way for babies to let you know THEY are in charge- Addison does the same thing! I'm so happy to hear that things are going well. Happy weight gain too! That's wonderful.
