Her Father's Daughter

There's one thing we know about our little girl: When she wants to do one thing, heaven help whoever wants her to do something else. I think she gets that from both sides. Well Ellie hasn't taken a bottle yet today. The nurse said she might have taken it at noon, but we were eating lunch with Grandma and Grandpa Weber and Aunt Wendy and the nurse figured there would probably be a better opportunity when we were here. So at 3:00 the nurse checked, but Ellie was asleep. She woke up as we changed her clothes and diaper, but the nurse had already decided not to give her the bottle. Then we tried to get her to go back to sleep but she did not want to ... so she didn't. She went to town on her pacifier. I think she figured if she just sucked hard enough she would get something. But as much as we tried, we couldn't make her go to sleep. We just tried again at her 6 pm feeding and she didn't want to wake up. We of course weren't trying to wake her up ;) but we did change her diaper and even the cold wipe wasn't enough to get her to open her peepers. She was wearing the pink and brown outfit below, but even the jostling from putting her pants back on didn't wake her up. When she wants to sleep, she sleeps. Hmm, who else do I know that ... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
