Light Bulb in a Bottle

Well who's to say if the light bulb has come on, but she has just taken 25 mL from her bottle and is still going strong. She opened up for the bottle too, usually we have to convince her to open her mouth. The feeding consult is scheduled for tomorrow and they're going to go ahead and still do it. There are only three nipples that the NICU can use: a cross-cut (slow flow), a regular, and a NUK nipple that has an even faster flow than the regular. The people that do the feeding consult are also allowed to recommend a Dr. Brown's or an Avent nipple. It seems to me that there's a pretty big difference between the cross-cut and the regular nipple, so I keep wishing they had a nipple between those two. The feeding consult people have a nipple that is between them. Previously she's used a cross-cut most of the time, but it's difficult for her to get much from it. Sometimes she'll suck so hard that it starts to collapse the nipple, which means she can't get any from it. When they've tried the regular nipple on her in the past she has ended up with most of it on her instead of in her tummy. But this time she's done really well with the regular nipple. It's been a little over half an hour now so we're stopping the feeding. She ate 33 mL! That's a new record and definitely a princess sticker! She had such a small amount left (15 mL) that the nurse just slow pushed the rest in by hand rather than using the autosyringe.
