Rise and Shine and Give God the Glory, Glory
Well, mommy just called about her little Ellie's progress and the nurse said she is going well. She did have 1 tactile (where they needed intervention) bradicardia and had 9 self-resolving bradicardias. I asked if she thought they would change her oxygen levels to more than the nasal cannula today and she said she didn't think so, but they would make their mind up at rounds at 8 am - 9 am. She did tolerate her 11 pm feeding so she got to eat again at 5 am - all 2.5 mL of Mommy's milk! YAY! They will know the results of her bilirubin (to see if Jaundice is back or not) today later. Also her ABG (blood gases) test was good.
Please pray for mommy and daddy's health today. We're really tired and Ben's starting to feel sick, so we're going to sleep in this morning (translation, Mandy is also going to go BACK to sleep after pumping!)
We met some more NICU moms last night. Ellie's neighbor, mom - Jennifer and baby boy were delivered at 30 weeks and she's been here 8 weeks. We shared each others stories and she said she was from Ft.Riley and that she was life-flighted from Mercy. I got all excited and gave her a big high 5 and was like, Hey, I was life flighted too! :) We talked for a while...her little boy weighed 2 lb. 1 oz. and now he's up to 5 lbs. 1 oz. YAY! She also is staying at Ronnies. So it was great to connect. She gave us her phone number too if we ever needed anything because we're new at this.
Ok, back to sleep. Love you all!

Hey Gramkows! Glad to see you are trying to get some rest. Ellie is in great hands while you sleep! I've been thinking and praying for you three. You are really showing your strength and Ellie will pick up on that and get stronger too!
