This morning we got to see our little girl with both of her eyes open for the first time. For the last few days her left eye has been open, but her right eye has still been sealed. Yesterday the seal on the right eye was no longer complete, and today Ellen (Ellie's nurse practitioner) pulled her right eye open. Don't worry, we've got pictures. In case you were wondering, yes she's even cuter with both eyes open. Oh, by the way her eyes are blue (big surprise, I know). But her pupils are always so big that it's very hard to see the blue.
We got to hold her for the third day in a row and she looked very cozy in mommy's arms. She was going back and forth between snoozing and looking around at mommy and daddy with wide eyes. Daddy is still a little awkward and is trying to figure out how to hold his little girl. But he enjoys even if he's not very good at it.
